This paper explores the intricate dynamics of recognition, resistance, and resilience concerning women, gender, and sexuality in emerging economies. In these societies, traditional norms often collide with modernizing forces, creating unique challenges and opportunities for gender equity and sexual rights. We delve into the complexities of how women and Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, (LGBTQ+) communities navigate socio-economic landscapes marked by rapid change, structural inequalities, and persistent patriarchal attitudes. Through an examination of recent literature and case studies, this paper highlights the innovative ways in which these communities seek recognition, resist oppression, and demonstrate resilience amidst evolving economic contexts. We make use of questionnaire and survey to get data. Recommendations are the need for global public policy, legislation for LGBTQ+ in Africa and stop stigmatisation again this group of people.
