D subtypes, Grandiose and Vulnerable Narcissism, are vastly different. NPD has been seen to linked to eating pathology, and there is a lot more to be discovered on this topic, particularly regarding disordered eating. Grandiose and Vulnerable Narcissism both show perfectionism and impulsivity and commonalities with eating pathology. Four types of disordered eating are looked at in this paper, restrictive eating, binge eating, excessive exercise, and purging, to look into commonalities with the subtypes of NPD. Impulsivity and Perfectionism, as well as the Five Factor Model are looked at to see what shared traits eating pathology shares with Grandiose and Vulnerable Narcissism.
