We show how the effects of vacuum-induced coherence can be realized by studying photon-photon correlation in the pi-polarized fluorescence in the j=1/2 to j=1/2 transition. These effects should thus be observable in measurements of photon statistics in, for example, Hg and Ba ion traps.
