dc.description.abstractThis investigation is concerned with attempting to account for the zero field thermal conductivity of a crystalline sample of gadolinium trichloride. Of main importance is the question of whether two-magnon one-phonon interactions can produce thermal resistivity in the ferromagnetic phase.
