Tests were designed bv the use of dimensional analysis to determine the effect that velocity has on tractive effort. A mathematical model was then developed to predict tractive effort as a function of wheel slip, soil strength indicator. tire parameters and velocity. The model appears to be adequate for many design problems in the agricultural and industrial equipment industries.
