Interactive Engineering Design Simulation(AME 3103) Video Tutorials

Permanent URI for this collection

This project stems from a third-year course in the Aerospace Engineering and Mechanical Engineering curricula entitled AME 3103: Interactive Engineering Design Simulation. The course is divided into two parts: 1) introduction to 3D CAD using the SOLIDWORKS software, and 2) an introduction to finite element analysis (primarily structural, with heat transfer) including very brief examples of computational fluid dynamics using the ANSYS software. Students taking the class have all completed their introductory Solid Mechanics and Fluid Mechanics courses but have not had any formal exposure to the corresponding computational methods. The ten ANSY video tutorials produced for the class and included here were based on cases where analytical solutions are known and are thus available for comparison.
