Central 6 Definitions

Abstract

The University of Central Oklahoma adopted, by 2009, Central 6 Tenets of Transformative Learning. These are core areas in which the university is committed to providing its students with transformative growth. This document provides the short definitions of these six tenets (Discipline Knowledge; Global & Cultural Competencies; Health & Wellness; Leadership; Research, Creative & Scholarly Activities; and Service Learning & Civic Engagement) and the underlying Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs) for the latter five of those tracked by the University's Student Transformative Learning Record (STLR).
