Study of Kinetic properties of ion exchange resins is necessary in design, operation and optimization of ion exchange column. Better insight of Mass transfer coefficient will lead to better utilization of column and predict effluent quality. Modeling of rinse process will lead to evaluate the kinetic characteristics of resins Mass transfer coefficient is an important parameter in evaluating the bed operation. Ion exchange resin fouling was evaluated using MTC values. Radial Flow bed is modeled and analyzed. Rinse process model is presented in the form of problem statement. Solution of which will be of importance in evaluating kinetic properties during rinsing.
