dc.description.abstractScope and Method of Study:
dc.description.abstractA quantitative comparative descriptive survey research design was implemented for the study using a purposive sample of students and teachers in technology center schools in Oklahoma.
dc.description.abstractFindings and Conclusions:
dc.description.abstractThe literature review indicated that teachers and students want different things and have different needs and concerns. The results of this study indicated that teachers and students have the same needs and concerns. One of the most significant findings of the study was the agreement by CTE teachers and students that keeping up with technology and gaining adequate funding was most important.
dc.description.abstractThe conclusions are summarized by factors listed as the most influential in determining the future of public education in America in the 21st century. The areas of: Keeping up with current technology; Providing for on-job training, continuing education, and lifelong learning; Promoting technology literacy and skills; Gaining adequate funding; promoting understanding of ethical considerations related to technology, social, and global issues were identified and ranked in order of perceived importance.
