dc.description.abstractThe Central Dissent: A Journal of Gender and Sexuality is an interdisciplinary academic journal published by New Plains Student Publishing and sponsored by the UCO Women’s Research Center and BGLTQ+ Student Center. The journal contains research, poetry, and visual art from students at the University of Central Oklahoma. This particular edition contains research articles on topics such as the history of 39th street in Oklahoma City, the experiences of being trans on the Texas State University campus, and rhetoric surrounding breastfeeding.
