Presented here is the detailed discussion of the use of a stabilized helium-neon laser in a Fabry-Perot interferometer to create a highly stable, precise, and repeatable frequency reference source for use in spectroscopy. Tellurium (130Te2) was scanned from 664 THz to 676 THz with a tunable diode laser. Spectra lines were then identified for the BOt f- XOt transitions in this molecule. From this many high order spectroscopic constants were determined.
