dc.description.abstract | The design report is based on the project presented by AIChE working on designing a Toppings Refinery Retrofit in Kirkuk, Iraq. The preliminary design includes a simulation which will internally expand the toppings refinery. This simulation was done using ASPEN HYSYS to model the whole refinery. The refinery had two different crude oil supply streams that needed to be able to be processed using the same machines. With that design contains a process description as well as flow diagrams of the proposed design, analysis of the economic feasibility of the proposition, and the design's overall process safety summary. | |
