Preparing and performing a senior recital is one requirement to complete a Music Education degree. The amount of work and time that goes into having a successful recital is countless and tiring. I began to learn and polish the music for my senior cello recital in August of 2014, practicing every day for at least four hours, to ensure a successful performance in March of 2015. To fulfill my requirement to the Honors College, not only did I prepare and perform a solo recital, but I also researched and organized notes about the pieces and composers whose works I was performing. These program notes were reviewed, edited and printed for the audience to read during my recital.
