This study focuses on the effect that a peer mentoring program can have on the self-concept of intramural sports supervisors. The research was informed by Social Learning Theory and utilized the Self-Perception Profile for College Students to determine if participation in a peer mentoring program produced a statistically significant increase in self-perception assessment scores. Data was collected from intramural sports programs at two large, public universities. Mann-Whitney U tests were performed to determine statistical significance. No statistical significance was found when comparing mentor to non-mentors, students with no mentor to students with mentors, and underclassmen with mentors to upperclassmen with mentors. Implications and future areas of assessment are provided to support campus recreation professionals' mentorship program.
