This thesis explores the linguistic background and history of the Mennonite Plautdietsch language. It follows the migration route of Grant County Mennonite Plautdietsch speakers in Oklahoma today. It also provides an overview of the lexical inventory of the consonants of the Volhynia Plautdietsch speakers in Oklahoma. Finally, this thesis provides an acoustic analysis of the monophthong vowels of this dialect.en_US
