Scope of Study: A collection of experiments and demonstrations that may be used in an Exploratory Course of Junior High School General Science. The experiments are of the type to show the relationship of subject matter taught in Junior and Senior High School Science to science professions and occupations. In most cases, simple equipment found in most any High School science laboratory may be used. To make this report more useful the experiments have been arranged with biology coming first, physics second and then chemistry. The report consists of one hundred eight experiments which have been divided into nine chapters, EXPERIMENTS WITH PLANTS, EXPERIMENTS WITH BACTERIA AND MOLDS, EXPERIMENTS WITH ANIMALS AND MAN, MECHANICS, EXPERIMENTS WITH HEAT, LIGHT AND SOUND, MAGNETISM AND ELECTRICITY, and EXPERIMENTS IN CHEMISTRY.
Use of the Study: To supplement daily classroom discussion and other activities; such as field trips, lectures, films and etc., which may constitute the curriculum of the Exploratory Course in General Science.
