dc.description.abstractThis study analyzes the how a change to a proportional representation system would systematically change how the House of Representatives. To study this, I used election data from 53 congressional races and awarded the seats based on a proportional representation system by state. I found that a change to the proportional representation system would help the minority party and third parties gain more representation.
