dc.description.abstract | This article discusses the importance of appreciation over recognition of employees in a business workplace setting. Recognizing employees is strictly behavior-based and can lead to enforcing unethical behavior. However, appreciating employees is through their primary or secondary love language, according to coauthors Chapman and White. These languages are: Words of Affirmation, Quality Time, Acts of Service, Tangible Gifts, and Physical Touch. | |
