dc.description.abstractThis report discusses a single bituminous surface treatment using an asphalt-rubber binder and pre-coated aggregate over a bleeding and cracked asphalt concrete highway. Tests and evaluations include: a pavement condition rating, core sample descriptions, subgrade soils, pavement deflection measurements and pavement serviceability. An asphalt-rubber single bituminous surface treatment is more than twice the cost of a standard surface treatment. The asphalt-rubber treatment will have a three year evaluation. The roadway condition and the cost effectiveness will be evaluated at the end of that time period.
