The objective of this report is to study non-woven Thermoplastic fiber fabrics and their effects in eliminating and diminishing reflective cracking in asphalt concrete overlays. Two fabrics, namely Petromat and Mirafi 140, were placed on an existing Interstate highway. The road was overlayed with 1 1/2 inches of Type C asphalt concrete and 3/4 inches of open graded friction course. The fabrics appear to be performing in a cost effective manner.
