Scope of Study: This report surveys broadly the most important activities of what are loosely referred to as the 'thyroid hormones', implying thyroxine as quantitatively predominating with 3, 5, 3'-triiodothyronine a potent partner. No attempt is made to present every minor phase and the extent of coverage is from the generally accepted results from recent research.
