dc.description.abstract | Scope of Study: The study is a review of the experiments conducted in the field of sensory and perceptual deprivation. The work is traced from its beginnings to its present status as a tool in neurophysiological and behavioral research. Cognitive, physiological, perceptual and motor effects of deprivation are discussed, and possible variables and theoretical explanations are proposed. Special attention is given to hallucinatory phenomena. | |
