Politics of the United States and Asean Relations: Wheat Trade, Security, and Protectionism
Abstract
This thesis is concerned with the development of the United States and ASEAN relationship in wheat trade, security and protectionism in an interdependent world. Trade issues have become important phenomena in explaining future state relationships. Limited information, except for security, was available for this study, because the issue of protectionism at the time of writing was an ongoing process within Congress. Materials were also sought from the libraries of the University of California at Berkeley and the National ~niversity of Singapore to supplement my work at Oklahoma State University.
