The primary objective of this study was to investigate the image of the media in Alva, Oklahoma as seen by the retail advertisers and the general population. This study explored the attitudes these various groups held toward the media and a number of different media concepts. This exploratory study was concerned with the image of radio station KALV and the Alva Review Courier newspaper. Using the semantic differential, the author sought to locate image problems that might exist and formulate possible solutions to such problems. This study of the attitudes toward or image of the Alva media was attempted with the intent that it would be useful in helping the media better serve the community.
