dc.description.abstractF116 is a temperate-generalized transducing phage of Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Genetic evidence leads to the conclusion that F116 prophage DNA is maintained extrachromosomally as a plasmid. Preliminary physical evidence is presented to support this hypothesis.
