This study is concerned with the analysis of Shakespeare's play Romeo and Juliet and Arthur Brooke's poem The Tragicall History of Romeus and Iuliet. The poem is acknowledged as being the primary source for Shakespeare's play, and there are many noted similarities in the two works. The purpose of this study is to concentrate on the siginificant differences between the works since little research has been done in this area.
