| dc.description.abstract | This study is concerned with the development of a managerial tool to assist cooperatives in solving the problem of repaying the equities of aging, inactive, or deceased members. Much of the research is based on a prior study by Dr. Paul D. Hummer and Joseph Hampton concerning the member equity-age problem among Oklahoma cooperatives. It is hoped that the model will assist agricultural cooperatives toward equitable treatment of the ownership retirement problem in the future and thereby assist the cooperatives to adhere closely to the cooperative principle of service at cost. | |
