dc.description.abstractThis Thesis is concerned with a study of conflicting values and ideologies of university scientists and technicians contracted to research and/or write Environmental Impact Statements. The study was undertaken by an interdisciplinary research team funded by the Ethical and Human Values in Science and Technology (EHVIST) divisionof the National Science Foundation as a grant. I was employed by the team as a research assistant.
