| dc.description.abstract | This study deals primarily with the mound facies and the depositional trends of the Avant Limestone Member of the lola Formation in southern Osage County, Oklahoma. Determination of depositional trend and the proposed explanations of development along this trend were accomplished throughpreparation of a log map, a structural contour map, isopach maps, and correlation sections. Lithology was studied utilizing thin-section microscopy, X-ray diffraction techniques, ordinary inspection of outcrops, and examination of bit cuttings. | |
