This study was concerned with the possible influence that salmonellosis might have on migrating and wintering migratory waterfowl populations in the state of Oklahoma. The primary objectives of this study are to ascertain the prevalence of Salmonella organisms in these populations in the field and, through the use of laboratory reared ducks, to determine any deleterious effect that might be caused by Salmonella infection. Data from the laboratory experiments serves as the referenceupon which interpretation of the field results is based.
