Microcomputers are the newest technology to enter the classroom of today's schools. Research is just beginning to be conducted concerning the use of these machines and their effect on the classroom. ~any educators are questioning the use of these machines at the preschool level. This study is concerned with the effect the addition of a microcomputer interest center to a prekindergarten classroom will have on the children's selection of other interest centers in a developmental preschool classroom. Another objective of the study is to note the usage of the computer according to gender.
