dc.description.abstractThis study was concerned with an analysis of the attitudes of individuals toward freedom of the press/media. The objective was to determine if various sociological factors had an effect as they operated on the psychological variable, attitude. The study was undertaken to expand on the limited data available regarding the public's attitude toward freedom of the press/media. The researcher concentrated on examining the attitudes of residents of Stillwater, Oklahoma, in the Winter of 1982, toward the rights of the media.
