The quantitative analysis of the dynamics of caged channel catfish can give useful information to maximize yield and to minimize co.st and time required for caged fish culture as well as to make fish culture a serious, predictable, economic activity. The objectives of this research were to determine the population dynamic parameters of channel catfish grown in cages with different ratios of blue tilapia, and to develop a basic computer program for clculation of these parameters. Funds were provided by the Programa de Desenvolvimento de Comunidades Rurais -PRODECOR and the Empresa Brasileira de Pesquisa Agropecuaria - EMBRAPA.
