dc.description.abstract | This study is concerned with diurnal heat transfer through earth covered roofs. The primary goals of this thesis are: 1) to gain an understanding of current empirical data and methodologies for calculating heat transfer through earth covered roofs or methodologies that may be applied to this area; 2) to formulate an interactive computer design and analysis aid; and 3) to formulate design guidelines and a quick estimation method for calculating peak diurnal heat transfer. | |
