Past research prepared a series of standardized forms for use by the Energy Analysis and Diagnosic Center. The purpose of these forms was to decrease the time spent by the Center in repetitive computations. One of the disadvantages of these forms was the typing time required. In addition, the forms savings in computation time were accompanied by increased time spent by staff members trying to interpret the standardized forms. The purpose of this study is to develop a computer program which combines arithmetic calculations and word processing capabilities to produce energy conservation opportunities for industry use. The program should be interactive and should be designed to produce output acceptable to the Energy Analysis and Diagnostic Center, its main user. It should also be easy for a beginning staff member to use.
