During the hydrodenitrogenation of coal-derived liquids, some of the basic nitrogen compounds poison the hydrotreating catalysts. I have studied this problem by investigating the hydrodenitrogenation of pryidine. Also, I have studied the effect that poisons have on hydrogen adsorption.
