dc.description.abstractThe contents of this thesis, which have been written in publication format for The Journal Q� Protozoology, have been split into two studies. The first study, chapter I through chapter IV, covers the development of Ichthyophthirius multifiliis in the body and fin epithelium of channel catfish. The second study, chapter V through chapter VIII, covers the development of~. multifiliis in the gill epithelium of channel catfish.
