dc.description.abstractThis thesis attempts to provide an understanding of the clustering mechanism observed in the olfactory neural network. A new model is proposed that has potential to overcome the problems associated with the clustering mechanism. An additional layer of network that can extend the proposed network to LVQ network is also discussed.
