| dc.description.abstract | This study was conducted in order to evaluate the teaching methods currently being used by Tulsa Public School middle school science teachers, the frequency of hands-on methods versus traditional methods, and the restricting factors affecting them. Availability and utilization of outdoor classroom sites as well as methods employed in environmental education was also investigated. The results of the survey given to Tulsa Public School teachers were compared to the National Science Foundation survey conducted in 1977, in order that the analysis of the findings might provide insight into the changes in teaching methods since that survey was carried out. | |
