Model of political ideology and person-organization fit in the workplace
Abstract
The following research examines a proposed model in which political ideology is examined as a potential value that could be considered when examining the relationship of perceived fit between the individual and their environment and its effect on organizational commitment and job satisfaction. Results revealed that consonance between the individual and their perception of fit with the environment mediated the relationship between political ideology and the outcome variables. This could be of increasing interest given the ever widening gap between the ideological right and left.
