dc.description.abstractOverall, this study was designed to examine the perceived current parental support' (parental connection and autonomy). More specifically, the following research questions were examined in this study: Are there significant differences between primary and secondary athletes in their perceptions of parental connection and autonomy? Are there significant differences between male and female athletes in their perceptions ofparental connection and autonomy? Do individual vs. team sports athletes have significantly different perceptions of parental connection and autonomy?
