dc.description.abstract | The simplest structural finite element, the Truss, in its simplest multi-bar assembly format. This tutorial outlines the geometry creation and invocation of the ANSYS LINK180 element, application of an external load, specification of the displacement boundary conditions, and the solution process. A detailed post-solution of the results draws comparison with an analytical solution. | |
