Pyridine Nucleotide Biosynthesis in Ruminant Liver Mitochondria
Abstract
This study was undertaken as an investigation of the biosynthesis of the pyridine nucleotides from nicotinic acid and/or nicotinamide by the liver mitochondria from beef and sheep. The origin of these compounds is of interest due to their importance in the electron transport chain.
