Soils, Vegetation and Livestock Relationships on Eastern Oklahoma Grazing Leases
Abstract
In recent years considerable attention has been given to the vegetative conditions of grazing leases on the Corps of Engineers reservoirs in Eastern Oklahoma. Public sentiment is that the land is being abused and that grazing of livestock is not compatible with the publics' recreational interests (hunting, fishing, camping, etc.). Therefore, this study was undertaken to learn mare about the soils, vegetation and livestock grazing in this area in order to create an efficient grazing evaluation method.
