Study sites were located in alluvial deposits where fill settlement is a problem. Continuous undisturbed soil samples were taken. Unconfined compression and consolidation tests were run on the soil layers. The field testing included the standard penetration test. Inclinometers were installed in an attempt to determine if creep existed in the weak soil layers of the alluvium.73 pages11,372,069 bytesapplication.pdfBearing capacities and characterization of compressible clayey and silty foundation soils in Oklahoma (FHWA-OK-81-3) 239Technical ReportSoil propertiesWater tablesAlluviumSettlementBearing capacity
